Terms of Service

The service

RangeNote lets you capture voice or typed notes that are transcribed and organized into tasks tagged to spaces, with optional photo/video attachments and calendar/email export. Pro also includes AI photo scanning (reading the text in a photo of a note or document into tasks) and dictation history. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You sign in with an email one-time code. You’re responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13).

Your content

You keep ownership of the notes, tasks, and files you create. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host and process them to provide the service (for example, sending audio for transcription). You’re responsible for your content and for having the rights to upload it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others’ rights;
• upload malware, or content you don’t have the rights to;
• abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to bypass limits or security of the service;
• resell or misrepresent the service.

Subscriptions, free trial & billing

RangeNote offers a free tier and a paid plan, RangeNote Pro. The free tier lets you use the app with limits (for example, a daily cap on newly created tasks, a cap on spaces, and no shared spaces, attachments, AI photo scanning, or dictation history). Pro removes those limits and unlocks those features. You can also try the app without an account, with a small number of notes stored only on your device.

• 14-day free trial: Pro begins with a 14-day free trial. You provide a payment method up front, and you are not charged during the trial.
• Auto-renewal: when the trial ends, your subscription automatically starts and your payment method is charged the then-current price ($3.99/month or $39.99/year unless otherwise stated). It renews automatically each period until you cancel.
• Cancel anytime: cancel during the trial or any time after from the billing portal (Account → Manage subscription). Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro through the end of the period you’ve paid for, then move to the free tier. Your account and data stay.
• Refunds: payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. If something went wrong, email us and we’ll try to make it right.
• Price & plan changes: we may change prices or plan features. We’ll give notice before a change affects a renewal, and price changes never apply to a period you’ve already paid for.
• Promotional codes: any discounts or founder codes apply as described when offered and may carry their own terms or end dates.
• Payments: billing is handled by Stripe; we don’t store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy.

We aim for high availability, but the service is provided “as is,” and we may suspend or limit access to protect the service or address abuse.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind. Transcription and task organization are automated and may be imperfect — review important items yourself. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the prior 12 months.

Termination

You can stop using RangeNote and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
